YOUTH COMMISSION

The purpose of the youth commission is visionary, educational and participatory. Tasks include planning, budgeting, implemenation and evaluation of youth activities. The youth commission consists of adults and youth working together to provide faith-building opportunities for youth 6th grade and older.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP

Senior High youth gather together on Sunday nights from 6:00pm until 7:30pm in Syrianey Hall. As community, we celebrate the Christ within each of us. Collectively, we explore our Catholicism. The experience of the Body of Christ in action is ever present as we plan, pray and play together. We urge all of our young people to take an active part in youth group where they will discover the excitment of Scripture, the celebration of Eucharist and the joy of Stewardship that is awakened whenever two or more of us are gathered in HIS name. Individuals will be able to use their particular gift to make each gathering a unique experience. We encourage everyone to be as fully active in the ownership of youth group as possible. Meets every Sunday of the month from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.

MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP

Middle school youth meet to share their discipleship. Adults and youth celebrate Catholicism together, each person explores paths to prayer that really works. All are invited to participate in the larger community through service work. The group grows together spiritually with the scriptures. Active involvement provides an experience of the Christ within. Nothing is more exciting than to be involved with a group of people who bring their contagious energies together to respond to the call of Christ. Anyone who is currently in middle school or enjoys sharing faith with 6th-8th graders is encouraged to get involved and start a new begining in Christ. Meets every Monday of the month from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

WORKCAMP

This is a group of high school youth and adults responding to our baptismal call to mission through larger commmunity outreach. We spend a year preparing for our trip and 11 days on the road repairing homes for those unable to do so for themselves. Meets on the third Sunday of the month from 2:30 - 4:30 pm.

MYSTERY PLAYERS

This is a group of high school youth and adults working together through dramatic presentation to build community while taking the gospel message out to the larger commumity. For more information visit www.mysteryplay.org.
