FINANCE COUNCIL
MISSION STATEMENT
To assist the Pastor, as advisors from the lay community, in all financial matters of the parish.
Duties & Responsibilities

Advise and consult with the Pastor on all financial planning and budgeting matters.

Oversee execution of St. Michael the Archangel's budget on a continuing basis.

Assist the Pastor in evaluating and formulating St. Michael the Archangel's need for future generations.

Advise the Pastor on the upkeep of St. Michael the Archangel's buildings and grounds.

Advise the Pastor on the stewardship of St. Michael the Archangel's financial and material resources.

Oversee St. Michael the Archangel's financial record keeping to insure proper handling and accountability of all parish monies. This is accomplished through an annual Financial Review by an outside accounting firm.
Current Initiatives:

Partnering with other Parish Ministries in a strategic planning effort that addresses:
Fostering a strong community of faith at St. Michael's.
Current facility needs, such as carpeting, remodeling, landscaping.

Improving awareness of the church's budget, operations and oversight through increased communications with the Parish community.

Sponsoring financial workshops for parishioners that focus on personal financial management issues.

Opportunities that allow sufficient financial support for all of the parish's activities.
